How Individual Therapy Works

  • 1. 15 Minute Consultation

    It all begins here! First things first, let’s schedule a FREE 15 min consultation. During this call, you have to opportunity to express your reasons for seeking therapy, past therapy experience, and therapy expectations. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have. This call helps us to see if we are a good fit for each other.

  • 2. Have Our First Session

    Following your consultation, we will schedule your initial session. You will receive an email with intake forms that MUST be completed 24 hours prior to your session. You will receive a text and email reminder for the appointment. The first session will feel like you are doing most of the talking but it helps to build our foundation.

  • 3. Create Goals for Therapy

    During your first session we will discuss your needs, your level of functioning, establish goals and so much more. Your goals discussed in this session will be the leading force in our sessions and we will often refer back to them when we get stuck, off track or just need to be reminded of why we are here.

  • 4. Ongoing Sessions & Goal Check-In

    Periodically, we will assess your progress to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our sessions. We will make updates to your goals, if needed (because life is always happening).
